I am a big fan of Korean Beauty and would like to share with you my review about an amazing Korean skincare product I’ve discovered recently! I have sensitive skin which requires a special treatment at all times, so I always choose gentle skincare products. However, my main problem is irritation and redness which is often caused by external factors like Ultraviolet and extreme temperatures. So when I came across these calming pads, I bought them without hesitation, especially because they promise to provide a quick effect! I have never used such calming pads before so I was very curious to try them out! 

What does it do and how to use it?

This is an essence-rich toner pad which contains Centella Asiatica Extract (soothing properties) and Panthenol (hydrating properties). The material of the pad is exactly like famous Korean face sheet masks – it is white and soft with a very slight fragrance. It is really essence-rich and there are no complaints here! The number in the pack is 70 pads / 130ml essence. The box comes with a pair of small plastic tongs which makes it easier to take a pad from the jar. Plus this ensures a hygienic use at all times. When you want to use a pad, just take it from the jar with the help of small plastic tongs. Then apply the SKIN1004 Centella Quick Calming Pad on an irritated area for 5 minutes and then remove. 

What are key ingredients? 

• Centella Asiatica Extract – well known for its soothing properties.
• Pantenol – a moisturizing ingredient. 
• Sodium Hyaluronate – another moisturizing ingredient to maintain moisture and elasticity. 

What is the effect? 

I should say I use SKIN1004 Centella Quick Calming Pads occasionally when I have skin irritation, redness or acne flare up. I use it at a toner stage in my skincare routine and I always wash my face and hands beforehand. I like to use calming pads in the evening as I have enough time to relax for 5 minutes while keeping them on my face 🙂 (In the morning this is impossible as I am in a rush to the office for my full time job) 

The effect is that I see redness going away immediately after application! I bought them in winter when my skin was suffering from winds and cold and these pads worked magic by calming the skin down in just 5 minutes! 

I usually apply two pads on areas close to my nose at both sides as these are the most sensitive areas on my face. I tried to use these on my cheeks when I’ve got some acne flare-ups and I noticed blemishes going away more quickly. Yes, SKIN1004 Centella Quick Calming Pads help to heal blemishes so this could be a good prodi\uct for an acne-prone skincare routine. What I like is that it doesn’t have a strong smell and has perfect shape and size. 

Another advantage is that these are soaked in essence so generously that after the first 5-minutes application on the nose area I can use them in other areas too as there is still plenty of essence left! I like that the essence is being absorbed quickly without stickiness. Then I apply my night moisturizer as part of my everyday evening routine. Guess what, in the morning I wake up with beautiful skin with no redness or irritations which makes me so happy! 

SKIN1004 Centella Quick Calming Pads are so good that I will buy them again! I am happy I‘ve discovered this product which now makes part of my basic skincare routine.  Even though they are not cheap but are worth the price – I can definitely recommend this product.
