Mary & May is a well-known clean Korean skincare brand, however, I don’t see it often in beauty influencer’s social media. The brand’s mission is to create products with effective ingredients which are good for the skin. They use Eco-packaging and don’t test products on animals. I saw this brand many times in my favourite shop and finally bought and tried its products! As I have sensitive acne-prone skin, I have selected products suitable for my skin type.

Serum has always been present in my daily skin care routine. This serum I bought for my sensitive acne-prone skin as it has Tea Tree extract, a well-known natural ingredient that helps to treat acne.
What are key ingredients?

- Tea Tree Extract 9.7%
Another natural ingredient, Houttuynia Cordata Extract, helps to control sebum production to keep skin fresh and clean. The serum comes without fragrance.

I like that its light formula helps the serum absorb quickly and doesn’t leave any stickiness. I apply it after using SKIN1004 Centella Quick Calming Pads and then apply my moisturizer. I love the soothing effect it leaves and that it’s non-sticky. It suits my sensitive skin perfectly and doesn’t cause any irritation. I feel that it helps to calm down my blemishes and they disappear more quickly. Besides this, the serum keeps pores clean. I definitely include this serum in the list of products that help fight acne!

This light daily moisturizing sunscreen with Cica complex is especially formulated for sensitive skin. The manufacturer states it doesn’t leave any white cast, non-sticky and non-streak!

Sun protection is very important these days and it’s crucial to add sunscreen in your basic skincare routine. My last sunscreen was terrible – it was leaving white marks on the face skin and was not absorbing properly. So I bought this one which is the first ever Korean sunscreen in my skincare! I didn’t have big expectations but I was so much surprised when I started using it!

It has a light creamy texture and light pleasant smell. It absorbs quickly and indeed doesn’t leave any white cast or stickiness! I have never seen such a sunscreen in my life and this is definitely my favourite! Its light finish is a perfect base for a BB cream application without burdening make-up! The skin is not only UV protected but is well-moisturized. Even though Whitening is mentioned on the package, I didn’t notice this effect.

This low PH toner, with its oil control and antibacterial properties, is specially formulated for oily and trouble skincare to effectively remove dead skin cells and impurities. In addition to that, the toner moisturizes and soothes the skin and its AHA PHA ingredients provide exfoliation.
What are key ingredients?
- Tea Tree Leaf Water has anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties
- Niacinamide 2% helps to control sebum production and strengthen skin barrier
Just like any other toner, it should be used after cleansing. I use it twice (sometimes three times) a day after washing my face with COSRX – Salicylic Acid Daily Gentle Cleanser which I reviewed recently. I absolutely love this toner! Its slight tea tree scent indeed reminds me of the beautiful season of spring! Pores are clean and my skin feels fresh and moisturized after application. I noticed it doesn’t cause irritation or redness on my sensitive skin. Besides this, it helps to reduce blemishes.

I am really happy with all Mary & May skincare products I have tried! However, my biggest discovery is Mary & May Vegan CICA Soothing Sun Cream SPF50+ which is much better than many sunscreens I have tried before. I think the brand has a decent skincare range for sensitive skincare at an affordable price.
The price is much cheaper than the most popular K-beauty brands you often see on social media. I believe Mary & May is a great Korean skincare brand which is worth trying! What do you think about it?
