If you’re on the hunt for a clay mask that hydrates as much as it purifies, MARY & MAY’s Rose Hyaluronic Hydra Wash-Off Pack may be just the pampering treat your skin needs. Combining rose water, hyaluronic acid, clay, and other skin-loving ingredients, it’s built around the promise of clean, vegan, and effective skincare. I spent a few weeks trying it out and here’s what I discovered. Previously I used Sand & Sky Oil Control Mask and Dr Roebuck’s Daintree AHA Brightening Mask but I used them up. So I bought this one after reading positive reviews about it online. 

What does it do and how to use it?

The Rose Hyaluronic Hydra Wash-Off Pack is a vegan, clay mask by Korean beauty brand MARY & MAY. I must say I am quite familiar with this brand and shared Mary&May products review in my blog. I like this brand. That’s why I have chosen their clay mask among others. 

The mask claims to offer deep hydration, soothing benefits, mild exfoliation (via rose particles), pore cleansing, and gentle care for sensitive skin, all while being free from harsh chemicals and animal-derived ingredients.

The clay mask comes in a solid 125g glass jar and has a soft creamy texture with a very slight fragrance. Besides, you can clearly see tiny dark particles which are the exfoliators themselves. Please note, the mask is also available in a 30g tube. There is an applicator included in the box. The carton box is recyclable. The brand also uses Soy Ink for printing. 

MARY & MAY Vegan Rose Hyaluronic Hydra Wash-Off Pack is easy to use. Just like any other clay mask, you need to apply a thick even layer on a clean face for 10 – 15 minutes avoiding eyes and lips, then rinse it with lukewarm water. 

What are key ingredients?

• Clay blend (Kaolin, Bentonite): Absorbs excess sebum, draws out impurities, helps to clean and unclog pores.

What is the effect? 

I use it twice a week. I prefer to apply MARY & MAY Vegan Rose Hyaluronic Hydra Wash-Off Pack with my fingers rather than with the applicator – it’s just my personal preference. The mask is easy to apply and I can feel these tiny exfoliators on my fingers. The fragrance is slight and not irritating at all. I don’t even feel it. I keep the mask on my face for 15 minutes as advised on the box. It dries quickly and I can even feel that the skin becomes quite tight if I keep it longer. When it comes to the mask removal, I would say the clay washes away easily except these dark exfoliators which requires a bit more effort. 

The effect of the mask quite surprised me after the first application as I feel immediate improvement in my skin texture and see pores are so clean! At the same time my skin is hydrated enough and looks so healthy! With regular use my skin texture has become smooth and even, pores are clean and skin is hydrated enough! My skin is sensitive but I didn’t notice any irritation or redness which makes me happy – which means I can safely use it on my face! It’s all because Centella asiatica extract helps to calm the skin down. Now the mask makes a good part of my autumn skincare routine. 

At prices ranging between £9.00 – £15.00 (UK retailers) for the 125g size, it’s a budget Korean vegan clay mask. Given the quality of ingredients, hydration performance, and the clean / vegan credentials, the value is solid – especially if you plan to use it regularly. The fact it’s also available in smaller sizes (30g etc.) makes it easier to try out without commitment.

MARY & MAY Rose Hyaluronic Hydra Wash-Off Pack is a great k-beauty product in the “hydrating clay mask” category. It succeeds in balancing moisture with detox, gives a pleasant experience, and is kind to the skin. Its main compromises are minor: a little effort to wash off and a mild fragrance, which matters for very sensitive users.

If you are looking for a Vegan hydration mask with hyaluronic acid, this mask is well worth trying. If you try it, expect immediate hydration, clean unclogged pores and noticeable even tone after a few uses!
